My Path to Systemic Constellation Work

A Personal Retrospective

My first encounter with constellations was rather unspectacular — a brief introduction during my mediation training. Later, it appeared again in my coaching training, but once more, only as an example of a method. Still, the topic stayed with me. At some point, it knocked again — quietly, yet persistently. And this time, I opened the door.

Almost impulsively, but wholeheartedly, I signed up within a week for the advanced training in Systemic Structural Constellations with Dr. Andrea Berreth at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam.

My very first constellation confirmed much of what I already sensed about my family. But what truly moved me was the group work: that my issue stirred something deeper in others than it did in me. That fascinated me — how deeply we are connected through our inner images.

During my thesis process, I brought four of my own topics into constellation. After the very first session, I knew: this is my path. That clear, warm feeling — not euphoric, but calm and deep — was unlike anything I had known before. I had arrived.

One topic touched me in particular: boundaries and symbiosis. At first, I thought I knew it well. But one exercise during the seminar shook me to my core. I couldn’t stop crying. For the first time, I understood an old event in my life on a deeper level. It felt as if I had retroactively been able to give myself a boundary — and with it, protection and dignity. Since then, I’ve been asking myself: how can I pass on this kind of knowledge?

This process has changed me. I’ve become more patient, more impartial. The systemic attitude — non-judgmental, listening, open — has become a part of me.

What moves me most: in constellation work, there’s often a moment when people encounter one another with pure goodwill — without judgment, without expectation. This quality of connection shows me how much goodness lives within us.

I work with people in motion: women in transitional phases, parents, artists, expats who feel lost between languages and worlds. I know that feeling. As the daughter of a Chinese-German family, married to a Swede, I dance between cultures myself.

I want to support people in shaping their lives with more awareness, freedom, and fulfillment. I bring to my work my background as a dancer, choreographer, and coach — the non-verbal and the verbal, the seen and the spoken, the felt and the expressed.

Today, I work as a systemic facilitator in Berlin — accompanying people through transitions, at crossroads, and in times of growth.

With this blog, I want to share my experiences as a constellation facilitator — not only to give voice to what moves me, but also to open space for dialogue. Because we don’t have to carry our questions alone. And growth happens most beautifully together.
